Evolution Wood Design started as a small team of finish carpenters focused on high-end details. Over the years, clients began asking us to manage their entire remodels and additions—and the GC side of the business grew naturally from there.
Today, we operate as a full-service general contractor with a mostly in-house crew. We still bring the same carpenter’s eye for detail, but now we carry the project from first layout to final punch-list.

We meet with you at the property to understand how you live in the space, what isn’t working, and what you want the finished project to feel like.
Scope, Budget & Timeline
We work with you and your design team (or recommended designers/architects) to define the scope. Then we provide a detailed estimate and realistic schedule.
Construction & Coordination
Our in-house crew handles framing, drywall, paint, and finish carpentry while we manage specialized subcontractors. We hold regular check-ins to keep you informed.
Detail Work & Final Walk-Through
Punch-list items, touch-ups, and final cleaning are handled thoroughly. We walk the project with you to make sure every detail meets the standard.
After-Care & Support
If questions come up after you move back in, we’re easy to reach and ready to help.

Framing
A strong project starts with precise framing. We build straight, true walls and accurate layouts so doors, windows, cabinetry, and finishes all fit exactly the way they should. From remodels and additions to interior reconfigurations, our framing work creates the backbone for a solid, long-lasting home.
Drywall
Our drywall team focuses on smooth, consistent surfaces that make every room feel calm and finished. We handle hanging, taping, mudding, and sanding with care, paying special attention to corners and seams so the walls and ceilings look clean in any light and are ready for high-end paint.
Paint
The right paint job ties the whole project together. We take the time to prep properly, prime correctly, and apply finishes that wear well over time. Whether you prefer soft neutrals or richer tones, we help you choose colours and sheens that highlight the carpentry and architecture of your home.
Finish Carpentry
Finish carpentry is where our roots are. Doors, trim, wall panelling, built-ins, ceiling details—this is the layer of craftsmanship you see and touch every day. We focus on tight joints, clean lines, and proportions that feel right, giving your home a tailored, truly finished look.
